engine trouble...?
So as I leave work this morning I start my car and sit there for a moment and I notice that my car is shaking rather noticeably. I figured it was just cold do I put it in drive and take off. It drove fine though all the stop signs but as soon as I started heading to the highway it go bad. I was holding a steady speed at 45mph and the car started buckin bad. I mean to the point to where I thought I was go to have to pull of the road. So I gave the car some gas it down shifted fine and accelerated fine. Then as soon as I slowed down to a constant speed the bucking came back. Then once I was on the highway at a higher rate of speed the car was fine. What could this be? a miss?

Have you done anything silly recently, like washing your engine bay lol. It could be a missfire, caused by COP failure. Check to make sure everything is fully seated and plugged in in the engine bay. OH, and read my COP sticky lol

It seems to me that a misfire would have prompted your CEL to come on or even flash. If it did not, it is likely it could be a fuel problem. I've had a similar experience you described, only mine got so bad my car would shut off. It ended up being a bad fuel pump. I am not an expert, but it's just a thought.

its actually quite common for the engine to misfire without throwing a CEL. Happens more often than not, as the system to monitor misfires is somewhat primitive in these beasts. Fuel could still be in the equation though, just not as likely.
BTW, what the heck do you have straight cut gears in?

no i haven't washed the engine or done anything out of the ordinary. My engine light is always on due to my longtubes throwing an o2 code. So i can't tell if a miss fire has caused an engine light. My car seems to be getting worse with constant bucking at a steady speed between 40-50mph. I'm starting to wonder if it's something in the fuel system like a fuel pump.....??
