They don't carry those tools, they are too specialized.

some tire shops rent them out

i paid a guy $20 and he rolled mine for me lol

So for those that you that have done this: have any of you ever had the paint crack from bending the metal? Just asking.... I currently dont have any issues with tire to fender clearance and dont plan to lower the car any more so i wont be doing any of this. Just curious i guess.

yep i had some paint cracking....our cars have very thick fender lips...the paint cracking wasnt bad, and it didnt spiderweb or anything, its not visible unless you pull the wheel and shove your head up in the wheel well and look at the lip

the guy who did mine used a roller though, im sure if he woulda done it correctly, it wouldnt have been an issue dawg

LOL at the bat!!!

So no cracks on the very edge or outside of the fender?

I'd almost be inclinde(if i was to do it) to take a dremel tool to it and just cut the lip off...
Would prolly make the fender weak though not having that extra metal there.

a lot of people cut the lip off...if you can do it cleanly and make sure to paint it to prevent rust, that would be a good alternative

and yea, theres no cracks or marks or anything anywhere that can be seen...just had a little cracking right on the tip of the fender lip

I actually did on my 71 mustang but the cracking was from someones bad bondo job. Other than that no, I've never had paint crack. Go, SLooooooooow.

yea i forgot to mention that i have more bondo in my quarter panels than i do metal....plan to replace them some day, but its not on the top of my list lol

bought my car rebuilt salvage, so there was bound to be some bondo on it somewhere!
