Default Buying advice

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum, and any help or advice you could give me would be a great help. I'm looking to buy either '99-'04 GT, or an older Cobra 4V. I ultimately would like to supercharge it, and would just like your opinions on what you would do. Sorry if this thread is in the wrong spot.

Well if someone asked me which one to buy, a GT or Cobra, and their ultimate goal was to supercharge it, I would say get the Cobra.

The 4 valve motor is a much better platform to work with. You also need to consider which car looks better to you. Do you like the looks of the older 4.6/5.0 Cobras, or the new edge gt's? That would be very important to me.

both body styles look good to me. Do the Cobra 4Vs have forged internals from the factory?

The crankshaft is forged, but I don't believe anything else is. I could be wrong, so don't quote me.

Those older Cobras do not have forged internals.

other than the increased base power output, what advantages do the 4 valves have over the 2 valves?

More valves per cylinder, which equals better breathing, which responds better to modding, etc.
