Default What should i do for this?

So as of right now i have a 2001 mustang GT with 40 series flowmasters on it. Im really just not that happy with the sound of the pipes. What are some new recommendations?

Please reply to thread or send me an email at drewbowen@comcast.net

Do you just have the mufflers welded in, or the entire cat back? What kind of sound are you looking for?

Everyone can tell you their preference, but the "ideal sound" is very much an individual preference.

I'd go on places like Youtube and Mustang Exhaust, and listen to the 100's of clips they have.

i just have the mufflers i dont have the whole exhaust system. i want something that is noticable goin down the road. I like the way the SLP exhaust sounds but i cant find a clip with the Power-Flo sound which is what ive had alot of people recommend.

broaden your search on youtube. search "slp mustang" instead of "slp 2004 mustang gt power-flo". also the cat back isnt going to affect power that much. if i was going for that extra 1-2 hp i would go with Magnaflow because of the straight through design.

Its def bc you just have the mufflers. My old car had the Flowmaster catback and it sounded awesome all by itself. Now I just have the mufflers and all I hear is drone... So yea just look up some different stuff on youtube. Thats where I look
