thats what everyone said about the 60's and 70's muscle cars. now look at em. when they get to be around 10-25 years old they are worthless. then they start to rise in value from what ive seen.

EDIT..you said built ones. HELL no those wont be worth crap lol

We own cars made in the 'throw away' generations. It takes something special for a car to be worth anything real. So no, it wont be worth anything. Well, that is unless, Obama and the rest of the lib green queers get their way.

Especially with all the young kids totaling them! Less and less everyday!

there are alot more cars made now-a-days than in the past, assuming gasoline isn't obsolete, i'd say the only way your car is worth anything is if its stock-ish and was one of 5000 or less made of that model, probably even all models including color/vert etc etc.

The Cobra Rs ofc, possibly the 96 mystics, the 04 mystichromes ehh maybe not, the SCCA foxbody the 93 cobra might be (maybe not just the cobra R.) Maybe like the first year saleen( or the last) esp now that they have been done away with. maybe the First Roush or something, basically anything REALLY collectable, therefore i will never own it, because if i ever have enough money to buy a cobra R ( for me thats millions because i wouldn't spend 50-80k on a mustang without having millions) I would drive the hell out of it, because thats what the Cobra R is supposed to do. whats the R stand for?

signifies the factory built "Race" model. Its just like the GT350R's from back in 65 and 66. It was ford's way of making a street car that could take the corners.

lol that wasn't a serious question, rhetorical, i was stating that because people usually drive them >100 miles a year and don't beat on them at all when they are built to be Raced, I would love to have one to race a stock class auto-X.

That would tear it up!!! If i ever could afford one...which would be like you(when i have millions of dollars), i would port the heads and get some nasty cams and make it an N/A beast!!! Or just twin turbo it and make it a beast that way...even though both are considered sacrilege. lol

Its already a GREAT N/A platform, if anyone can afford it the heads/intake are ideal for an N/A 4v car but they are riduclously expensive, i always wondered about the cams in them, i don't know if a nice stg 2 or even stage 3 cam would be an upgrade from whats stock, i'd imagine it would... i wonder if you could see 450whp N/A.

with a 4v i dont think that would be a problem at all. I was just doing some research on this subject and ive seen that if you get the GT/Cobra r heads ported and can get some nasty cams that can take advantage of the port job, they can flow 350cfm intake and 300cfm exhaust @.600 lift. I was looking at fox lake's website and thats what they claim. And on regular heads they get 324cfm intake and 270cfm exhaust @.550 lift. But i cannot find any cams to reach that much lift on a 4v grind. I think you could see even better than 450rwhp with ported heads, nasty cams, and higher compression. High comp 4.6 with ported 4v heads and race cams would kick BUTT!!! wouldnt be very street friendly but id still drive it everyday. lol

They probably won't be worth anything down the line, but I am glad that I have a rare option package if they do go up in value. You never know really, my dad sure didn't, he traded his 69 Mach 1 with a factory 390 in it for a 76 stang with a six cylinder. Never thought that it would skyrocket in value.
