Thumbs up Tim99GT's Build Thread

Well, i figured i'd start a thread and post pics/ect.... as the project progresses for you all to see. So here it is, the official build thread of my car.

So today was the day that i marked the start of the project as far as actual work is concerned.
I hope you all enjoy!
Also like to say thanks Ryan(AKA RyansQuick6) for the help today!!

Here is what the car looked like at 3:30PM today

Disconnected all lines/harness/ect.. from the motor and tranny

We than hooked on the the motor with the hoist, unbolted the motor /tranny from the car, and started to pull the motor/tranny all at once.

You know you didn't have to take the radiator out right? And, was it a PITA doing it without a leveler? I did mine with a leveler and it was pretty easy

Motor Is OUT!!!(The engine bay is super filthy!!!)

All in all the job went well. Didnt really have trouble with anything other than the damn LT headers... But it wasnt too bad. Total time was ~ 2 1/2 hours to pull everything.

I know. I am going to eventually buy the damn mishimoto(spelling?) radiator so it mind as well come out now...
And it made for that much more room we could play with.

As far as pulling the motor without the leveler, it was actually pretty easy. I had rolled up under the car and guided the tranny out while Ryan and CJ(uncle) guided the motor out.

Once we started to lift the motor, it literally took ~ 15 min or so to get it completely out and clear of the engine bay.

Nope. New MMR 900 is going in. not really going to be using anything from this motor except the timing cover. I have all new parts to put together a new "built" motor.

Well, i should make 600+rw at ~18 psi with this setup. Most 2V guys running the 2.8H are making ~650rw at the same boost level give or take some depending on the setup.
