bad idle HELP!!

Exclamation bad idle HELP!!

aight so right now everything on my stang is stock as can be but i cant figure out exactly what it is for some reason when i start the car and for a while after that something is not telling my car when to idle and the rpms will just just keep dropping until my engine turns off. the only time it stops is after a while of driving. wtf?!

Try cleaning your maf, iac, check air filter. Then come back to us if that does not work or help. And check for any vacuum leaks also.

check your TPS (throttle positioning sensor), if the voltage isn't right, the car will not idle right.

okay. and is there something that i can get to help me find all those? lol. bc i have no idea where most of that stuff is.

You can also try the reset the KAM by disconnecting your battery for 10 mins or so. This will force the car to relearn the idle etc. Make sure you let the car idle for a bit after you turn the car on, do not hit the gas. This is the first thing I would try then the things above.

My 2000 GT did the same thing. Replaced the IAC and all was well. $15 tops. Took about 5 minutes.

my car had a similar problem. i had to replace my camshaft sensor. $30 . took like 20 minutes.
