Forged shortblock with stock heads, cam, intake with a single turbo be able to easily achieve 500 rwhp. or would it be REALLY recommened to at least cam it to achieve it with less stress on the motor. Also what fuel pump would be good for 500 rwhp, and what maf.

Its doable, the more other **** like cams and heads u have, the less boost u have to run to make the power and the les stress on the motor.

Short answer, yes.

Talk to your builder about the best route for you. A friend of mine is over 600 rwhp with a DSS block, P51 intake, and 2V patriot heads on 18 lbs, and over 700 rwhp with a 50 shot (yes a 50 shot, it reacts much different under those conditions). Of course he has tons of supporting mods, but thats where you need to sit down with whoever is doing this project for you and make a list. He made 450 rwhp on the stock engine/heads with a D1SC, so with a decent turbo, and a forged block capable of handling boost, you can easily make 500 rwhp.

calm down there Pintey , Your sig says 3.8 thats a v6 so unless you forgot to mention that you also have a GT then fix the sig or learn your engine sizes. To answer your question on a 4.6 built block with stock head and cams I would believe it is very possible. Your being limited because your airflow restriction , But with the right tuning , cooling and boost settings you should be golden.

why does everyone wanna go turbo lol. 500w is doable with a blower and is most likely gonna be cheaper.

Turbos are sexy ! lol , Its like wanting to date a playboy bunny ... Its possible and would be F#cking fantastic but it would take alot of money to make possible and not very practical , So most just settle for cute little co-ed.
