Default need help choosin a muffler setup!

ok so about 6months ago i got a silver 2000 mustang gt mostly stock....with a few little mods. I havent really had the money to do any big performance upgrades. Although, over time i have got pretty bored with my stock exhaust. Im lookin fer somethin thats sounds good and is loud....nuthin ridiculously loud tho...im not tryin to attract every cop on california. im lookin to just replace my stock mufflers... maybe SLP LM 1 resonators. but are they too loud? do they sound good? maybe i shoould get the SLP LM 2's.... im mostly focused on just getting mufflers cuz thats all i have the money for, so wut will sound good with a stock h-pipe and stock headers..... need some opinions on mufflers! thnx...every thing helps

The ideal sound is an individual preference. Do a little searching, and listen to different clips. You have several options when it comes to mufflers.

The best sound I have heard to date is LM2s with a catted h pipe and long tubes. Its deep, and has great tone. Not many ppl run mustangs with that setup. most go either flow/mac with an x pipe these day or bassani/slp/magnaflow with an xpipe.

I am kicking around swapping to SLP Power flo mufflers just to tone it down a little more just for winter. The beauty of SLP is they make 3 mufflers tht are all interchangeable. you can swap out mufflers in your driveway in 30 min.

i know u said u dont want flowmaster but if ur looking to get out cheap like i was, u can get 2 chambered mufflers from summit for $68 shipped. they sound just like flowmaster but are half the price.... here is a clip with stock h-pipe and summit mufflers welded in. its plenty loud for me and sounds great even if everyone does have flowmaster lol.
