I have a jlt, they don't really do much for our cars, most of the guys will tell you to just take the silencer off and put a new filter in

^^^^ Yup! What he said. I was looking into getting a CAI and most EVERYONE I talked to and read posts pertaining to the same question said just get a K&N drop in, so that is what I did.

A lot of people have JLT and are happy with them. Just get something that fits your budget or get a K&N.

Get a jlt fender mounted. I ran my car on the dyno with a AEM ram Air intake and then with the JLT fender mounted on the same day at the dyno and the JLT gained 3RWHP over the AEM since it wasnt sucking in the hot air. I should have bought the JLT in the beginning. Just my 2Cents

Remove the stock filter and put in a K&N filter and call it quits. There is little to no performance gain to be had. The stock airbox/snorkel does a great job at pulling in cooler air. after repeated data loggings I am pulling in 70-80*(the ambient temp where i live at night right now)* air into the motor. This should tip you off that the factory system works, and works WELL.

you will NEVER pull in air that is any colder than ambient temperature from outside, so the fact that the stock airbox/snorkel pull in air that is a few degrees off ambient is fantastic.

what other mods do you have in mind for your car? Because I think everyone is probably going to agree that a CAI is a worthless one so you might as well skip that and move on.

I switched from the JLT CAI to the RAI. Didn't notice any difference. I just got freakin tired of having to pull the wheel and fender liner off to deal with my filter...yea yea yea, i know, I'm lazy. Plus, I think the RAI looks better. just my .02

If you have a K&N filter, forget about a CAI now and do a full exhaust or mid pipe, gears and a tune. That will really wake up your car both sound and performance.
