It'd be REALLY difficult to have a stock 302 from a 96 Cobra...That was the first year that the Cobra came with the 4v 4.6L.

I am not allowed to attach phots here.

but yes I do have photos and it very nice looking.

I have requested many photos of engine compartment which I will have tommorrow afternoon. perhaps he is merely mistaken on the year.If this wsa say 1995 motor then would this be a good motor.or what year would you guys think based on the rest of the description besides the date?
I will investigate further.
thanks for your replies!!!!!

well that's definitely a pushrod motor. If the seller is saying that motor came out of a 96 mustang, he's either lying or doesn't know anything about mustangs.

96 was the first year of the Single and Dual Over Head Cam motors that are known as "Modulars"

spoke to the seller just now and he says the motor taken out was a 302 and replaced wit a 96 COBRA HO converted back to point and condenser like the original.
ha says it ws all done proffesionaly at an extremely reputable place "ROOTS REAL RODS" in Gulf Breeze FL.

any thought fellas....????
