Ive noticed in a few posts that people have had trouble with lash adjusters going bad. I was wondering if any of you had considered going to a solid adjuster. Especially guys with built motors it seems like this would be a wise investment.
The stock lash adjusters are very reliable. When one person decides that it's the problem, it's like mass hysteria and people jump on a band wagon. "That must be my problem too."

was simply a suggestion. Ive seen them go bad before in my shop and if i were to spend 2000 on a bottom end it would be a good investment.
I found them for like $330 for a set which aint bad. So might be something to look into. Just a precautionary measure???
precautionary for one and i believe some of the higher horse builds would see a gain. Ive seen some older or evem some younger guys that say solid lifters are for race only cars but pop a valve cover off pretty much any modern import and tell me what you see. They get most of that open ended statement from older pushrod technology which was much more susceptible to heat expansion.
