Default Lash adjuster suggestion

Ive noticed in a few posts that people have had trouble with lash adjusters going bad. I was wondering if any of you had considered going to a solid adjuster. Especially guys with built motors it seems like this would be a wise investment.

The stock lash adjusters are very reliable. When one person decides that it's the problem, it's like mass hysteria and people jump on a band wagon. "That must be my problem too."

Stock VA are good to 10,000rpm

was simply a suggestion. Ive seen them go bad before in my shop and if i were to spend 2000 on a bottom end it would be a good investment.

Ive seen some older or evem some younger guys that say solid lifters are for race only cars but pop a valve cover off pretty much any modern import and tell me what you see. They get most of that open ended statement from older pushrod technology which was much more susceptible to heat expansion.
