Default Side Scoops

Hey, has anyone seen a new edge without side scoops? I was just thinkin about this while seeing some 05-ups and also knowing that mine are kind of beat up. I wonder how it would look without them. I don't think I have seen a pic of a new edge without them.... Has anyone else?

just curious! Thanks

I've never seen it on a new edge before. To be honest i don't think it would look right though. I think since the car has a lot of angles and edges to it, that it would look out of place without them imo.

i know. im not sure how it would look. thats why i was hopin someone had a pic, haha. i mean, if it is slightly indented, like the 05-ups, it might actually work. but i dunno.

i guess i could rip mine off to paint them and touch them up and see how it looks. but i'd rather see if anyone has removed them... even to paint or somehting?

A 2001 Bullitt would be as close to that as you'll see.

why do they need to put a scoop on that car? it seems useless? is the body behind it really not the same look as that scoop?

i think it looks clean. i might have to take mine off as if im gunna paint them, and if i like it, maybe not paint them. with what that bullitt looks like, i think it could look very clean without scoops - especially if matching other 'clean' mods, like deleting the spoiler (a winter project of mine).

I've seen pictures of one without the side scoops. In my opinion it looks great. A lot cleaner look. You just fill in the holes and leave the indent there. If something happens to my side scoops I won't replace them.

It reminds me of the 65 mustang actually and i really like it personally. Gives the classic "C" like the vintage mustangs had. I think it flows very well and gives it a classic look.

thanks 04CO. I couldn't find any, but those are good pics! I do like it. I think it looks pretty nice. I guess they just bput some covers on the bullitts to fill the holes rather than producing a different body panel. Makes sense cost wise I guess.
