Default Down the road...

I owe about $6900 on my car. If I play my cards right, I can probably have it paid off by the end of next year. I am on a very strong debt elimination kick right now, so I am pretty motivated to pay my car off and be rid of a car payment.

I am thinking / dreaming down the road about what to do with my car. I am in love with the 03 / 04 cobras, but the thought of paying off my car and immediately going back into debt for another car just doesn't sit with me right. I guess my question is this...

How would a supercharged GT feel in comparison to a terminator to a Sunday driver? I have never taken my car to the track and doubt that I will....maybe once or twice, but not enough to factor into this decision. I am looking for a good dependable car that is fun to drive with a good acceleration when you stomp on the skinny pedal. Would I get this end result by spending around $5k on my car....or am I too fixated on a cobra? Thoughts?

nothing but a cobra will give you that cobra experience....MAYBE if you had a KB s/c it would be similar...but cobras have IRS, 6spd, and that loud as **** eaton

In your position, I would just put a blower on your car.

I agree, a kb'd gt can get you the power and whine of a cobra with no car payment, and no wheel hop when you get on it hard with worn out irs bushings.

I think that the whine and the acceleration is what I am really wanting. Maybe I would be best to save up and look for a good used KB.

Now you're talking and saving money on car insurance (I have heard that before )

Just buy a good s/c. That would be the way to go, no one likes car payments.

I have a cobra experience and I just have a vortech. :0)

If you're on a debt payoff kick, wait till it's paid off and put it all out of your mind till then.
