I absolutely agree with that!
Trap speed at the track is a pretty good indicator of real power to weight ratio. You should see any power gain show up in your trap speeds and they can be a very nice measure of before and after mods are done.

I trapped 105.5mph w/ a dyno of 253rwhp. Then I added the cams and long tubes after which I trapped 112.5-113mph (dyno of 300rwhp). I was actually much more excited by my improved trap speeds than I was right after the dyno tune numbers. The dyno is simply a tuning tool and the track is an actual test of how the car performs.

105 to 113 is a amazing gain in MPH. What E.T.'s went along with those MPH's?

I have seen the same car make 268RWHP on a Dynojet and near 300RWHP on a Mustang Dyno and turn 110.5MPH at the track (which puts the truth somewhere in the middle).
wooo whoooo I finally said something that made sense. Thanks Nick

Unfortunately, I only had my daily driver Ecsta SPT tires until about a week ago, so I ran ~13.3seconds in each configuration. 60' with 253rwhp was 2.05, but I could only manage 60' of 2.25 the day I trapped 113. I simply could not get ANY traction. The weather was cooler when I ran the 113mph, and I think that my tires just don't have the same grip once the temps begin to drop down. I'll have MT ET Street radials when I go back next time, so I am hoping to drop down closer to the mid-12's. I really don't plan to abuse my stock clutch with high rpm launches, so I may be a little optomistic with the mid-12 goal (ie. 12.6).
