Default Quick Tuning Question

Hey guys I have a question about the X3. Everywhere offers "free tunes" already on the tuner, but could I still, say, delete the rear O2's later MYSELF? Change gear ratios? Shift points? I know they could do it, but can I do it? I just didnt know if the tunes can be altered or not, and AM didnt seem to either. I want to be able to mess with it some later on, as my car is mostly stock, and I dont want to have to wait on tunes. Thanks

Here is the link to what Im wanting to order:

I would highly suggest that you look into the sniper tuning software. It's great and offers a ton of fetures like data logging and is really easy to use. Cliffy can answer any questions. Is is really easy to use and all you really need is a laptop with a USB port

I don't have experience with SCT but you should be able to. I can with my diablo, that is basically what a custom tune is.

I have been looking at the Special Forces actually and checking their forums. The only thing that is making me want the SCT is that it comes with a free Dashscan right now. Its a toss-up right now. Thanks for the replies

Dang thats a decent deal if they're throwing in a free dash scanner. I've heard great things about sniper and SCT. Just a word of warning I think AM locks the tuner so you can't ajust timings. I'm not sure if this also applies to the gear size and O2 sensors. But you have the free tunes for life and i'm sure they could always email you a new tune once you needed the O2s off or threw in the new gears. Good luck with your decision man I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever you end up pulling the trigger on!

Def talk to Cliff about Sniper. I love using Sniper to tune mine because I can make the decisions and do the tunes on the fly without having to wait for emails or whatever. All you need is a Windows PC with a USB port and you are good to go.

I will probably just buy the Special Forces. I dont need it really, as I dont race this car or anything, but Im itching to buy something. Its this or hood/headlights for the Foxbody, but I could use this during the winter so it gets the nod. Sorry for rambling on
