Yeah, I am not sinking $8k into FI and other supporting mods when I can go out and get a 2011 5.0 and already be 13's stock.

It has the v6 cloth seats. I have my ex-brother-in-law on junk yard leather seat watch. He's taken over the spot of helping me with the car as far as the mechanical stuff goes. I also have another friend that's a mechanic, so I'm not too worried about how much money I'm putting in it.

Actually, just remembered why the leather seats thing wasn't going to work. No electrical stuff on the inside so none of the buttons would work.

 

I been in one of them before my uncle does trans work for ford and got to test the 2011 engine and trans in the 2010 body so he took me for a ride... it was crazy fast. I wish i wasnt a poor college student! hahah

 

i agree with that new list as well lol...still trying to get over the terrible interior of the new stangs tho IMO....too square and "retro" for me.

but the important stuff seems to be under the hood lol 412hp will do

yea leather would look/feel better. Not 100% sure if they will fit(pretty sure they will though), but i would look into 03/04 cobra or mach1 seats. Much better feel vs the v6/gt seats. But they do come with a semi $$ tag. ~$500 - $1,200.
And to add to you not having the harness for the seats, any harness out of a junked stang will do.(since he is looking in junk yards...)

Well since they can work on the car, have them cut you springs... this will lower your car for free and will feel just like any other lowering spring out there. Now all you need is wheels. Those will be your choice, just dont go getto.....

Other than that, i'd tint the windows and tails and add a shorty antena and you will be rolling in style

 

For used stuff, I use car-part.com at work to look for parts. It says up to date and is accurate most of the time.

Just filter it by distance and you will be set.

 

Dont forget underhood show!!! Thats what really wins people around here. If you have a chromed out engine or something special under the hood, that will get you a trophy.

Secondly.... maybe im way off but might i suggest an audio upgrade? At a car show you can't go wrong The beats at car shows adds a whole new dimension while you'll there.

There are a few options i'd suggest: like either pinoneer or infinity's are nice in our stangs. These two are much louder and clearer then the stock speakers. In addition ya gotta get sum for sub/subs in the trunk (get a custom box made). Most to all audio shops sell mustang boxes. (Get a ported one if you want people to hear it outside the car) Get Dual 12" subs. I would go with Kicker if you want more low end bass for rap, and if you like tighter bass for like rock, I would get MTX. Match up the subs you buy with an equally powerful amp. Ya might need to get one with at least 750 RMS. Kicker & alpine have great amps.... durable. Make sure to get a D-Class amp for the subwoofers though, because they have a higher efficency then Class A and B and wont punish your altenator as much. From this, decide on how many watts you'd want to push, you should get a capacitor and a deep cycle battery like the optima yellow tops so your lights wont flicker at night and your car doesn't die. Then take it or leave it but i'd also look into dynomatting the trunk. Itll will add about 3dB to the bass alone without even changing out anything. Just me 2cents worth into this thread if your going for a

 

OK, so as suggested I made a list of what I want to do to my car. It's just stuff to improve the looks, I don't understand any of the mechanical stuff and exhaust and everything, so I'm leaving that up to someone that actually knows what they're talking about. Though, I did write all the stuff you guys told me down so I could talk to him about it.

Anyway, here's what I have so far, tell me if you guys think it sounds good.
- get it lowered
- black wheels, i'm not sure which ones i like but i really think the black rims look nice with the red
- window, headlight, taillight tint
- shorter antenna than the current cane pole
- get rid of rocker panel stripes
- replace the bumper inserts with black ones

I think the first thing that's going to happen though is going to be the tint. It's January and I have to run the fan and sometimes the a/c to keep from dying in there, when it's 30 degrees outside! It gets really, really hot. I can't imagine it in the summer!

 

I think it's terrible. Everything sucks on it. You might as well throw your money at the wall. If you are just doing this to 'get back at your boyfriend', you should just snap out of the bull**** and get over it and move on.

If you just want to make your car look & perform better because it looks too plain & it's too slow, then kudos.

You have a NPI GT. You should go get PI heads and buy a Vortech along with the proper injectors, fuel pump, spark plugs, and other various bits and pieces that go with it. Also, get LTs and a C/B along with an O/R H and a STS for a more enjoyable drive. Get either 4.10s, 3.90s or 3.73s, or 4.30s.

Screw headlight/taillight tints and get smoked one piece headlights. Tint the windows and get some black or chrome wheels. Consider detailing the car, and get a chin spoiler and think about removing the rear spoiler. Get a shorty antenna, too.
