Default Which clutch....

Help me pick a clutch. Currently, I am stock with upgraded air filter, o/r x pipe, and catback exhaust. I will eventually be doing further mods. I am looking at a couple of clutches, let me know your opinions. I will also be upgrading to an aluminum clutch quadrant, firewall adjuster, and clutch cable upgrade.

Spec Stage 2:

Ram Powergrip:

McLeod StreetPro:

Thanks in advance.

I've had several tuners recommend the Centerforce Dual Friction clutch and pressure plate.

Def going with Spec clutch...

Now I am contimplating going with the Stage 1 though. It is supposed to handle 420 ft/pds of torque. I dont plan on taking my car into that range...I'll probably end up right around 350ish. My car is my DD so I don't want to go overkill on the clutch.

Anyone running a Spec Stage 1?

My clutch is really heavy! its horrible in traffic, have been contemplating on putting the stocker back in but that might be to much work.. not too sure what model it is exactly, just know that its a ford racing clutch..

SPEC stage 1 ive heard nothing but bad things about. I just dont like spec's engagement. Centerforce clutches have an amazing feel and hold up very well. But out of the choices you posted, i'd go with the McLeod clutch. Heard nothing but good things about them as well.

I've got a Stage 1 w/ their billet alum. flywheel, got maybe 2-3K miles on it. So far I like it, pedal feel is near identical to stock, slight chatter when engaging 1st or Reverse without adding some gas pedal. A little grabbier than stock, but not harsh or jerky. No real complaints about it. And so far I've been lucky with the supplied throwout bearing, too (I guess it's legendary for being a real p.o.s.).
