so i blew my engine in my 2000 GT. and i was wondering if i had to get a engine out of a gt or if i could get a 4.6 out of a crown vic or grand marque etc. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
How did you blow it? Rod? If the heads/intake is still good you can get any 4.6L or 5.4L short block that you want and toss em on. Heck, you could get a Teksid from a Mark VIII and slap your heads on it.
Otherwise, yes, you can get it out of a crown vic and just swap your intake over, just make sure that it's a PI engine, otherwise you will suffer major power loss.
