Default Winter wheels...

Now most of you guys are probably going to give me crap about this...but i want to buy a set of wheels for the purpose of having all-season tires put on them. I already have the tires picked out for the front and rear, but im having trouble picking the wheels that i want to put them on. Im not going to buy the wheels til the end of summer since that will probably be one of my major purchases of the year, but im just going to ask about it right now while im thinking about it so i can plan my spending from now til fall.

Im looking at the DD 10th anniversary cobra wheels from OE Wheels llc, the 2010 GT500 replicas in 18x9/10, or maybe someone else has another suggestion for winter wheels. I do not like the stock wheels at all. You know how when you have wheels on your car that you just dont like and it just makes you not love your car anymore? I dont want that to happen again.

So im buying wheels that i like, not as much as the AFS ones i have on here now, but ones that i like that will make me happy with my car over the winter and if i use them over the summer and use the 18" cobras for more racing or for car shows. Lemme know what you guys think.

Teej

Well i hate my stock wheels and the wheels i need to like. So essentially these are going to be year round tires. They are going to get all season tires so i can drive them all year round. I'll put it that way. Not just winter wheels. Show wheels/racing wheels are the AFS's and the DD wheels are going to be whatever these wheels are since the all season nature will give me really long wear.

Here are some pictures of the wheels im looking at. Just thought about the BBS RK wheels just because i think they look cool and might be a possibility too. Fronts are going to be 275's and the rears are going to be 285, doesnt matter if they are the 18's or the 17's. And i pulled the pics off of SVTP and the member here that i pulled pics from 98BlueGT. Lemme know what you guys think.

Im kinda digging the 2010 GT500 replicas on the new edge...just needs lowered to really set it off.

i really dont like the 2010 wheels on our cars honestly lol...the other 2 sets looked good...you could always do what im gonna do...all seasons on the front, all seasons on the rear, then buy another 2 rims for the DR's just for the rear...no need to be changing all 4 all the time? or if u r gonna buy a 2nd set all together do urself a favor and get 17's so the tires r cheaper?

if your car is a DD and you want to run a all season tire on a deep dish wheel in the winter im going to call FAIL on that one lol

i dont know PA winers but i would never run a wide tire in the winter, even with light dustings.....

i sucked it up and threw some V6 wheels with 205 series tires on my GT anf took off the chin spoiler....looks gay now but i would rather it look gay and have my tires function in the snow than to make sure i always look good ahah.

doing this reminds me of girls fashoin...choose looks over functionality ahaha

looks aside...i would reconsider due to driveability. but goodluck, look on CL for some Mach1 wheels or some aftermarket 17's. i have Mach wheels and staggered cobra wheels for sale around my area.

her is a CL ad around me. dont know how interested you would be.
