Big Problem...need help please!
Hey guys, been a member for a while...more of a reader than a poster however.
Until now....I finally ran into a problem and to be honest I have no clue how to fix it.
I have a '00 Mustang GT. When I bought the car it had a Cervini Cobra R hood and a Cervini Cobra R front bumper. After installing an Eibach pro damper kit and H&R Super Sport springs, my car sat to low for the Cobra R bumper....so i replaced it with the 03-04 cobra bumper.
So now my Cobra R hood is hitting the "horns" of the 03-04 cobra bumper.
How do I fix this problem?
Please help...I'm pulling my hair out here!

Do a search on "cobra bumper GT" or something like that, they are around. Here are a couple.

Thanks ct_white_stang....I tried using the search feature before I made this thread but I wasn't using the right terminology it seems.
While those links are helpful...I have already drilled new holes in the horns to push back deeper under the lip of the hood.
However ...my hood still rubs paint off the top of the horns.
Did I not do it right?
Is there anyway around this problem?
anyone with the same combo on here? (cobra R hood/03-04 cobra bumper)

Try bringing the horns back up farther. I think the cervini's cobra r hoods are approved for the cobra front bumper in the stock location. And the "horns" you are referring to are the header panel mounting points for the front bumper. Just throwing out terminology. lol but try putting the bumper back to the stock hole location and that might help. I'd say its worth a try. You only have to push it back for the stock GT hood. So give that a try...but dont go slamming the hood when you try it. Know what i mean???

LOL! header panel mounting points....that's it!
Thanks Teej!
I have an appointment to take my car into the local ford dealer tomorrow...but they are not even sure about how to fix it by the way they talk.
That's why I turned to you guys.
I tried to mount the bumper in its stock position first...and it didn't work, so I had to push them back further under the front of the hood.
I should have taken pics today.....but I was to busy biting my nails

I will take pics first thing in the morning.
I was searching another board tonight and noticed a lot of people said that the "horns" need grinding down a bit...beings they are taller than GT horns.
Ever hear of anyone doing that?

Nope, i have an 03 cobra front bumper and i have the "horns"...lol...pushed back and they do just fine. If you grind the part that sticks up farther you may risk damaging the bumper and making the header mounting point weak. Just forewarning you.
