need some help setting the parameters for my setup, i don't care to much to mess with the shifting, because i've heard on a stock tranny if you tweak it too much you may have problems later on. but i want to get all the ponies outta the motor as possible. how should i set the parameters? ex: Spark Advance 2K-4K & 4K-7K, WOT Fuel 2K-4K & 4K-7K. Any additional advice and tips are much appreciated.

 

This is really more of a question for CliffyK (I'm sure he'll notice this and chime in...), but long story short it's probably best not to mess with those parameters without having a wideband a/f meter (and knowing what to look for on said meter). Regarding the spark advance, I've heard conflicting stories. One being not to mess with it, and another being that all adjustment range within the Predator is "safe". I'm sure the truth lies somewhere in the middle. I have my spark WOT slightly advanced over the canned tune, I think set +2% in both ranges. Couldn't tell you if it really makes much difference or not, as it only applies itself to that setting when the pedal is mashed and I don't spend much time there. I suppose it helps me lose traction a little faster. My recommendation for the fuel setting is not to mess with is unless you know wtf you're doing; and in theory you could really **** your engine off with the wrong adjustment to either of those parameters.
