Mod Ideas
I've had my 2K gt sitting in the garage for almost 3 years after only putting 3000 miles on it. I'm looking for ideas on upgrading performance thanks to fords unveiling of the new 400 hp 5.0 . I'm a purist at heart and want to keep the car show ready. Any ideas are welcome. I purchased a set of 03 corbra rims but haven't put them on in 2 years!

Budget-minded builds FTL!!! lol but if you must...put a polished kenne bell on there, along with some engine compartment visual mods like aluminum coolant tank, power steering can, valvecovers, and other misc parts you might want to dress up. But for me, a single/twin turbo kit from Hellion would be awesome and would definitely be show worthy. But if neither of those fit into the budget, go to the pipes, boost, and juice section and do yourself a DIY supercharger kit and get a polished headunit. You could get a satin HU, but for show, everyone seems to want polished/chrome. Also for show, get yourself some H&R lowering springs to make your car not look like a 4x4 truck. Might want to look into loud exhaust as well. All these things are good for car shows and for performance...except the engine compartment dress up things.

bone-stock Mustangs FTL too!
if you're looking to keep it show ready, i'd go with some lowering springs. there's nothing worse than a fast, otherwise nice looking Mustang that also has that 4x4 look going on. and put those Cobra wheels on there!
as for performance, you can get a nice aftermarket supercharger that will still keep that stock appearance if that's what you're going for. if you want it to look like it came from the factory with it, look into upgrading to one of the roots-type blowers that came on the Saleen or Roush cars. you can probably find one used from a Saleen or Roush owner that decided to upgrade to a better blower, and it will definitely give you a nice power boost.

Well, what is your budget and what exactly are you looking for when you say you want to up the performance. Is your goal 400HP to compete with newer 5.0's? If so, you will need to think turbo/supercharger. Is this just a show/conversation piece? will it see track time?
