I'm running 5% all around, and it can be hard to see sometimes at night on dark highways, but not terrible. Backing up is a pretty pain too, but I'm a convertible and only drive in the summer, so usually the windows and top are down and no problems. I live in central Iowa and have been pulled over numerous times because of tint. Sometimes the cops give tickets, others I think its just to have a reason to pull over to see if they can get you for something else, and when they don't find you are drinking or anything they let you go. Others I think just wanna see the car upclose haha...I'm serious! Not really the best pic to see the tint, but eh that's my car. It's always funny to see the finger prints on the windows (hopefully not thieves), because unless you get up way close you can't see in, and I always see people when we're sitting at restaurants trying to peek inside.

In my opinion i think 5% is to dark if your gonna be driving at night.... i have 20% around and its PLENTY dark for me!

^And for bopiela 35% is quite light, that like the factory tints some cars come with... id go no lighter than 25%

I have TWO layers of 5% on the back window and the two small windows and 5% on the sides. I think it looks sex, and it is plenty dark, but I love it.

i had 35% as well and wish that i could go darker. i say had because they changed to new meters that are more accurate, so my car that passed the year before without issue failed this past year cuz the window tint was now to dark....f***in a$$ holes

Same thing kinda happened to me.... i got my stang right before MN passed a law requiring all dealerships that they couldn't resell a car that had tint greater than 50%.

Windshield No tint is allowed on the windshield.
Front Side Windows Must allow more than 50% of light in.
Back Side Windows Must allow more than 50% of light in.
Rear Window Must allow more than 50% of light in.

I was didn't know about this law until i found out last year when a dick got me for speeding and being the prick that they are checked my window tint with a tin-metor. I guess it was at 35%? so that was added to my tab. So to get the fine dropped i had to show proof that I changed it. Luckily I have a friend who owns a tint shop and he just charged me for tint.

I'm not looking for anything crazy dark and 35% seems to be decent - just not blacked out looking. Plus 35% helps avoid some of the police issues... Haven't decided yet, though.
