Magnapack advice.

Magnapack advice.
I have an '02 gt coupe with the following done to it..
-s&b CAI
-bbk 78mm t/b and plenum
-mac o/r h
-ford racing 3.73 gears (with SVT bearing kit)
-pro 5.0 shifter
I bought the car bone stock except for flow 40's welded in. I bought the o/r H pipe and am now ready to get a different sound from my stang.
I really like the magnapacks but was told that i shouldnt run them with an h pipe and should get an x instead. Is this true? what will it sound like and perform with my o/r H? please help me out! any other exhaust advice?

use the search button, and look through youtube and streetfire for videos to get a feeling for sounds.
performance will be minimal for either mid pipe and everyone on here will tell you their own exhaust is great sounding....hence why they have it on their car. it is all personal preferance.

i would suggest keeping the H or a catted X...a catless X and magnapacks will be loud....any O/R pipe with a straight through muffler (magnapacks, slp's etc) will be loud.
depends on your tastes

like you said, depends on what you like. I had o/r x and magnapacks and yes it was loud at wot but when cruising it wasn't so bad. now i have lt's and its a little deeper sounding. I love it.

I've personally found (and so have several of my friends with stangs) that off road h pipes, and straight through style mufflers (especially the louder more agressive ones) do not mix. You can get a very poppy, raspy, tinny sound that most won't care for. Of course there are ways to alter or minimize that, but in general this can be the case.
