Default getting dyno tune this week

im getting my gt dyno tuned this friday. it has bolt ons (75mm tb/plenum, jlt rai, mac lt's, o/r x, mac catback) but my dr's on the back have a taller sidewall than stock...will the taller tires create a possible defecit? i understand im not going to be losing like 30hp from it, but realistically, how much power can be lost? 5whp? 10whp? etc...thanks

It shouldnt in all reality. I mean its a larger tire...its like gearing down from a 4.10 to a 3.73. Its not exactly that drastic, but its the same idea...youre just doing it by adding circumference to the tire. There shouldnt be any power lost at all, or else going 4.10's would actually gain power. The only thing i can see making you lose power is the tires weighing more. But thats about it.

Heavy wheels will take away a little bit of power...but if you put gears in you wont notice it as much!!! lol I know what heavy wheels feel like...the 18" AFS Cobra replicas are probably one of the heaviest mustang wheels ive ever had to deal with...and they are on my car so i have to deal with them a lot. I wonder if they take that much power away. I think it would be more so your wheels than the tires though.

Well sumitomos probably werent 305 35 18's either. You add some size, you will add some weight.
