This has been happening for a while, and I have no clue what it is.....fyi..my gt is a 5speed...whenever i deaccelerate in gear, or downshift and let it deaccelerate, around 1500 rpms, my exhaust makes this weird raspy help me sound, and then around 1000rpms the car will die...ive cleaned my maf and iac, but have no idea what else it could be? maybe 02 sensors?

any ideas would help

Replace the IAC...

Despite that some have reported success cleaning them Ford says (from the '03 shop manual):The emphasis is theirs...
