Default Got a new beater

been a while since i posted. i had been looking for a 5.0 94 or 95 for a while and ran across a repo car my buddy had at his shop. it's a 02 gt, 5spd, black leather interior and got smashed by a tree. worked up a deal for $1200 and suppose to pick it up Friday. the best part is it runs and drives with no structure damage. just the roof is smashed enough to have to jack anything out. the wife really likes it so i will prolly throw a nice paint job and wheels on it for a while. when i get her a new car i will gut it and start playing. thought i'd post a pic and update my progress as i get things done. thanks for reading guys.

I hope that turns out the way you plan it. I see quite a bit of body work to do with that.

yeah, it's gonna be a job. i got the roof, front and back glass on order. i hope to start with some of it this weekend. all i need to get after that is the 2 front fenders, headlights, tail lights, wheels and tires. the paint material will be in there too i'm sure..lol. it really looks worse than it actually is. i'll get some better pics up after i get to work on it. can't wait to do a roof install, Trey will prolly glue me to the cab

tell me about it. the wife seen it for the first time last night, yeah that didn't go over as expected...lol. she's understanding though. this will be the 3rd vehicle i have bought kinda like this, so she felt a little more confident knowing i followed through with the last 2. my only concern is the interior. got to looking a little closer last night and seen a few gallons of water in the floor board but everything works so i'm guessing it will bite me in the butt later.

well i got 2 fenders ($75 for the pair, factory), new roof skin, front glass and back glass installed for $548 i just have a little trim to buy now and maybe a front bumper. i could use a hood but i may just have to repair this one. i'm going this weekend to prime the front fenders and strip the roof. hopefully in 2 weeks i'll have the car somewhat driveable. the rear quarters are beat up, that will be the hardest work for me

Good job...I'm sure it will be great to have this thing done and at a fraction of the cost of buying new.
