Getting "Cold Feet" About Turbo Kit?

If I end up goind turbo I'll be trying out 3.55's. I have heard of people going back to 3.27's though. I'd talk to a few people running turbos and see what they recommend. As I understand it's basically about trying to find a gear that's going to make the torque curve these systems put out manageable.

3.27's would work just fine, but most turbo guys dont go down that low til they are making some pretty high numbers to where they dont think that 3.55's are manageable. Most guys that turbo their cobras stick with 3.55's and only drop numerically to 3.27's if they feel like they need more pull or they are trapping out with 3.55's. I think for turbos with a stock GT longblock, you'd be fine with 3.27's but 3.55's would probably be slightly better.
