Default Different style catbacks

Hey guys,
So with the up and coming IRS, im pretty excited. But i have a question for you all. With the different style catbacks(going from SRA to IRS style), will there be a sound change at all??? I know that there are sound changes between the different metals used for the catbacks but i did not know if there is any actual sound difference. I figured that there might be seeing that there are different bends in the catback. Let me know your thoughs, i am very curious to know...Particularly AZ and Aereon if you both see this.

I dont think it makes difference wheather the pipes are going under the axles or over them. I dont know I've never heard of that.

i would contribute any sound difference to the length of pipe..if a SRA vs IRS is longer/shorter than the other. i would say length and degree of bends and number of bends.

but in your case, i would really think it will be minor. usually its the 2V against the 4V

but i dont know anything for sure. never heard a 2V with IRS and associated exhaust

Well the different bends and straighter nature of the exhaust i thought it might make a difference in the sound.

i guess you will find out in only a matter of time

maybe make a good comparison video (as long as keeping the same mufflers/midpipe/manifolds)

Well the problem will be the catback that might be coming with the IRS is magnaflow...and even if i swap flowmasters because of the piping being stainless steel, it will sound different. So i dont know. But i'll get some sound clips before and after.

the muffler is going to make most of the sound difference. there might be small differences based on the bends - if they are longer, shorter, more, fewer, etc. But realistically your pushing the same amount of exhaust air out of those pipes and through the mufflers (which you may or may not keep the same)...
