With 11.6 compression how much boost will i be able to run on 93 octance. I was told 8-10 safely by a machine shop but i always wanna double check

On 93 octane, not much if any boost. That's really high compression!!

Well either way im not at all worried about it. He said the way he's doing it it will work. And if it blows he already said he will replace the engine soo we shall see

you better get that in writing. I kind of wanna meet the man whos defying the laws of combustion.

why is you compression that high? I would think even an all motor 4.6 you'd be better off somehwere around 11:1 pulling timing.

Honestly, I think you might be able to see 6lb boost...but without a lot of timing that you could add with lower compression. I mean thats only half a point of compression more than the new 2011 5.0L and i bet that vortech, procharger, and hellion are all going to come out with superchargers/turbos for the 5.0 with 11:1 compression. I wouldnt get too aggressive though. Is the motor forged or what???

Ya the motors forged. Manley rods, Mahle pistons, Cobra crank, bored 30 over.

So why did you go with such a high compression ratio??? What kinda pistons do you have in there??? Dished or flat top or what???
