Default Battery relocation

Does anybody have their battery relocated? Just wondering if they have had any issues at all. I am thinking about doing this as well as a tubular k member.

Some people worry about battery discharge and lack of power but I think it's milarky. My battery was in the trunk without issue.

I have my battery located and put a vent tube leaving the box along with the positive and negative cables.

I also think the vent really isn't needed because my box really isn't airtight and the vent is probably not even doing anything.

^You haven't had any problems either? Was it easy to install?

The vent is to equalize temps and pressure of the battery. With gel batteries I wouldn't think it's as much of an issue. My next battery is going to be a Dynabat and is going under the rear passenger seat.

Oh I didn't know that someone told me it was for venting possible chemicals leaving the unsealed battery.

lilcrate, I only had the box and kind of made my own kit. In my case it was kind of time consuming but having a kit would probably be better.

Just routing the cable like an amp power wire, drilling holes for the box (without hitting your fuel tank), and fitting things took time. I routed the vent line through the fuel fill tube grommet.
