I figured id give you guys a little update. Over the winter I planned a little freshen up for the car. Resurfaced the heads, Cometic gaskets, drilled and tapped the Intake for a fogger, and the cam. I went with a custom CamMotion with the specs of .706"/.706" lift 276/284 duration. So last weekend everything went together at my buddies shop and here we are, ready for race season! The cam specs are

Lift = .706/.706 lift with 1.6
Duration at .050 = 275/284
112 lobe separation
108 intake centerline


I took a couple of videos before this one and if I get any closer to the car it distorts the sound pretty bad. I took that video from my Droid, which does pretty well, but I still need a good video camera pretty bad!

It's not that streetable at least at this stage. I think if someone were to go with a milder cam, EFI (not completely necessary, at least a more street friendly carb) and a 5 speed this could be a daily driver if you had to. At least a comfortable weekend cruiser. I think as I get more comfortable with the car and get a bug or two worked out it will be perfectly fine to drive around town or a couple miles down the interstate.

Oh and maybe mufflers of some sort. lol, the vid is open headers.
