Default The Dreaded Clutch Situation

Whats up my friends....here is the situation that I'm having a heart attack over-

Anytime that my car is driven tough off the line or spins the tires (bare in mind, I have my winter shoes still on) my clutch gets very spongey until my next shift, and then goes back to normal. The clutch doesn't slip, it releases the same as it did the day I bought it, and I can't figure out what is causing this. Has anyone ever experienced this? Please help!

Thank you,
Rob

meaning when I depress the clutch to switch into second gear, its very spongey. Then switching into third its back to normal. It almost feels like there is a clutch cable that is loose.

Correct. Say for example I'm at a stoplight and not really launch but sort of "take off" from the light....when I switch into second its spongy, then switching into third its back to normal. It still engages perfectly, doesnt slip, its freakn weird.

sounds weird...i cant think of anything that would cause that...streched cable, but it wouldnt be just one gear. is it a new symptom?

It's really only happened since my winter tires have been on. It's bizarre

I think i know what youre talking about. Mine does that sometimes. It might be something with the quadrant. Might suggest an aftermarket quadrant. But it happens to me when i dump the clutch and hit second hard and then it happens to me on the 2-3 shift. I think it has to do with popping the clutch really hard. Just something that youre probably going to have to deal with it until you do an aftermarket clutch.
