I installed mine while i was droping my motor in i strugled for like 2 hours until i decided to pull out the tranny and install the tranny, then the headers. I also had to remove the steer shaft and the everything drop right in place didnt really strugle with it. I also didnt have to remove my k-member i actually time my self and it took me 4.5 hours and thats including with the 2 hours that i spent fighting with it at first...lol

I bought the first set of production headers from pypes. mine fit decent, they rubbed a little on the steering shaft but I fixed it in 5 min.. no big deal. worth every penny.

my pypes leak like a pasta strainer and their h-pipe is complete and utter garbage. i need to install a set of off-set steering rack bushings to allow my u-joint to clear the header. only reason i went with them is because they're the only people that make headers in stainless steel under $1,000. but other than that i would not recommend them.

Yea sounds like me and you got lucky, mine are also from the first production. No fitment issues at all and I believe we got ours significantly cheaper.

I'd rather stick a needle in my eye than spent 1200 bucks on headers and a shorty midpipe lol
