Default Getting ready for F/I

I'm saving up for a supercharger right now, but before I get it I want to make sure I have all the mods that are necessary or recommended to get before you go with forced induction.
What are they??

Besides the kit itself, you need a better fuel pump, injectors, and preferrably a better MAF sensor.

isn't it true that you need a new throttlebody/plenum too?

you dont need a tb/plenum to install a s/c. You can use stock. just upgrade the fuel system and probably the clutch to handle the power.

It will hold it for a bit, but an upgraded clutch will be needed soon. Thought it was worth mentioning. I would never put a blower on a car that had a stock clutch in it. I just dont think its smart.

I would follow the $1500 kit stickied in the boosted section of the forums. That's what I did. For injectors I went with FRPP 42#ers from buyfordracing.com and a 90mm MAF from the same place. Currently using a focus SVT fuel pump and it seems to get the job done so far. Also you will need new plugs. I went with NGK tr6's. Gapped at .035 I still had some spark blowout, regapped to .030 and it ran like a new animal! If you have some extra cash I would get a new plenum to match the TB. I have a trick flow 75mm tb/plenum combo. The summit branded one is basically the exact same thing from what I have seen just without the name! Good luck!

EDIT: I would also get a wideband 02 setup like the one from innovate and maybe a boost gauge.

Is the plenum really that important? It just seems like an extra bolt on that isnt very neccessary. Also, I just got a new RAM clutch a week ago thats rated at 550hp so im all good on that.
