Roush wheels are 18's...thats the required size for cobra r/gt500 brakes(if gt500 brakes will work on our cars). But the fact is that the cobra r front kit is like 1300 bucks...regular cobra front brakes are $400 with stainless lines. There really is no question there as to where my money would go. And Dteal, how much did you spend on your brakes??? And how is the car doing btw???

New rotors for the front: $109(i believe...either that or $115)
New caliper kit: $209 including brackets, pads, and calipers
New stainless lines from Lethal for front and rear: $150
New rear brake adapter kit: $175 with moan braces and brackets to use stock GT calipers and this kit comes with rotors.

The cobra and GT's use the same rear calipers, just different brackets and the moan brace. So thats right around $650 for all 4 corners with new pads and calipers and rotors and stainless steel brake lines. Thats what ive come up with.

LOL they are. A few months back they were on clearance for $9XX(front and back) If i had to do it all over again, i would still pay the $1400 for them. They are the best brakes i have ever owned/driven with. They have deff saved my *** on many occasions when the stock brakes wouldnt have stopped in time.

But did you go to stock to those, or did you try cobra brakes first??? Cobras should be more than enough for a typical street car. BTW Tim, hows the car coming??? Done yet or still in the works???
