Default Headlights?

So I've had the "cleared housing" headlights on my mustang for quite some time now. It's time for a change.

In your opinions, what headlights look the best on a black 99-04 Mustang? I was thinking about the all tinted ones with no ambers, but does this reduce visibility?

Ps. I am getting HIDs soon, 8000k, so that will be my light setup.

I just want all of your opinions.

Yeah, it sure does reduce visibility. Before you get them, make sure they're legal in your state.

I've heard that it's almost mandatory to get HID's if you get the tinted housings. There are some out there that look just like stock 01-up housings, but without the amber corners. Just check your return policy with whoever you buy them from, I've seen a few that don't quite fit right.

One thing to note is that headlight assemblies without the amber side markings are illegal in all 50 states by the FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.

Also, many states have laws governing tinted and/or otherwise covered headlights and taillights... I know Florida specifically does.

Neither of these is to say that people don't actually follow the laws concerning these, but at least being forewarned is being forearmed.

Well, I've had the cleared headlights that aren't tinted for 3 years now. No problems.

6 HID's? How are those through your tints? Better than stock? Those are a lighter blue, correct? Also, where did you buy them.

The only real problem with HIDs is that I don`t know any state where they are legal unless they came with the car from the factory. I know they sure ain`t legal in Pa, or I`d have me some.

Stock headlights on our cars suck, they are so dull.

I have had HIDs in smoked housings for years now and have never once been hassled by any cops. Just do it.
