Default Black Honeycomb

Has anyone ever seen this honeycomb insert applied to a black Mustang?

Yeah but I mean, it's kind of like when someone puts a flat black pinstripe on their black car. I'm just wondering if any of you guys have ever seen a picture of it maybe.

My brother's silver '99 35th Anniversary model came with that from the factory--he an I both think it looks like a bunch of crappy plastic stuck on the back-end. In his case the problem is that it looks worse underneath and he doesn't have the $$ to repaint...

Fair enough. I saw these black inlays on the backs of some 2011 mustangs and it looked great.

Hey OP - I was thinking about one also, but then I saw one in person and I didnt like it at all. It looks out of place, almost. To each his own, of course

I personally like the look, it makes it stand out and is not plane jane like every other mustang.

But I have a bias opinion because it came on my 99 35th ann. that is just my two cents.

Check out this web site and see what you think.

Against the Black the honeycomb looks dark gray, to me.

Don't waste $150 putting it on a black car. Any other color, sure, but not black. I just don't think it would stick out enough to warrant spending that much money.
