Not true. I did mine on the garage floor with a jack stands. Don't know how long it took exactly. Maybe 15 hours or so.

No you can do headers without a floor jack. Expect it to take the better part of a day if not longer.

I paid someone else to do mine, but you don't need a lift. I'm sure it would help out, though.

We are installing SLP LT's on my uncle's Cobra for his welcome home present from Iraq, A lift would be a blessing right now but we are doing it on some heavy duty Jack stands w/ cylinder blocks for added comfort In his garage. ITs a PITA and its on day 2 but we are almost there. Im not the most technical person or mechanically gifted but I would rather run a collection to pay a shop to do it instead of my family. Make sure you have a comfortable hoodie along with a nice pillow and a good drop light.

Much love for him serving , haha MY uncle is only 10 years older then me but his career is the Army. He's 35 and still kicking a$$, 5 years was enough for me. I helped his 15 year old kid buy some headers for a return present and we are having a hell of time installing these boys. It will be worth it when he returns tho, he will not admit but this will be proud of the work and sweat we are putting in since he is always one installing stuff for us.
