Default PI SWAP

I have a 97 GT and i want to do the PI swap and I was wondering if its cheaper to buy the whole kit or just the heads and intake and gaskets? or Do you need all the stuff http://www.parkwayperformance.com/2vheadswap.asp says you need? Anyone that has done this how much am I looking on spending and any suggestions on where else I can find these parts for cheaper?

Thank you

just buy the heads, cams, and manifold used off a forum or ebay, will only cost you a few hundred bucks.

if your gonna do it right, its not just gonna be a couple hundred bucks. u should be able to find complete heads and an intake for 300-400 bucks. but if your gonna do all the work to put the heads on, you should have the heads resurfaced and put new valve seals in. it cost me 450 to have my heads redone. then you have to get all your gaskets and bolts. hopefully you get the romeo heads because they're easier to work with. parkways price really isnt that bad imo. thats a pretty complete set

if you want to run mid 13s i would suggest getting gears if you dont have them. without the gears its not gonna happen. i got my tuner while i was doing my swap. when i did my swap i put in the heads, cams, intake, longtubes. so i only had my car tuned once.

i just ran mine for the first time, i ran a 13.7@102 with a 2.2 60'
my tires are garbage and the track i went to is really high in elevation and it was super humid that day and my car is fully loaded i didnt take anything out of it. im gonna go to maple grove raceway which is alot lower in elevation and im hoping to run a 13.4. being that you have 3.73s youll have a pretty good chance considering i have 3.55s
