But how much horsepower do you get from a k & n cold air intake? not much im guessing but id like to know the avg ammount

It's more so you might see better mpg>rwhp. I'd say at most 3ish hp and thats being generous.

I noticed better MPG's not Hp, my car didnt feel faster but i liked 2-3 extra MPG's i recived from the K&N CAI driving 20xxx miles a year.

Ya hp is exspensive, I think it'd be better off just getting the k&n filter, considering the stok intake is alrdy a cai.

IMO you lose HP by swapping from your stock intake to a hot air intake..

You factory intake IS a CAI. Just swap out the paper filter for a K&N

im glad you said that. When my build is complete I am going to calculate how much it cost per rwHP over stock.

its ~$60/a rwhp

oh alright thanks. what does a k and n filter look like? cause i see a bunch at autozone and i dont know which specifically

Its a Cone filter that is deep red/maroon. You cant miss it. They are in the filter isle. Look in the book there or ask the teller what filter you need. You can look it up in the store. I think they cost around $30?

The Pep Boys in town has them for $55. It's about the same price at the performance shop about 40 miles from here.
