Default Need help ASAP: Mach 1000 Problems

Alright, i would post this in the audio section but that place doesn't get much attention and i need help soon! Plus, i trust a lot of the guys and gals around here.

So just tonight, i go to eject a CD, and of course it jams......so i stick a hairpin in there and it pops right out. (Its happened many times before) But when i put a new CD in, the damn thing jammed or something and now it doesn't make any of the "shuffling" noises.

I've heard that 2 CD's could've gotten stuck in 1 slot. I disconnected the battery to see if that would help, but nothing. Now the headunit barely even goes over to the CD function before it shoes "CD Error" and goes back to the radio.

So, am i screwed on this one?

Mine sucks like that too. Usually it fixes itself you can try pulling the fuse instead of disconnecting the battery. I usually dont put 6 discs in all the slots and it doesnt happen when I leave one or two empty.

Mine is screwed too. Its been like that since i bought the car though. I hit the CD button and nothing happens and then it says CD ERROR. I've been looking for a new one but haven't found anything decent. Good luck.

i guess mines still fresh enough that it has zero problems. my friends in his explorer completely jammed on him too. his is done now and he just uses an fm transmitter (sucks bad).

btw...how is the mach 1000 aside from the headunit? i've never heard one before.

It sounds great man, could use a little more bass in my opinion, but its very clean sounding

My MACH1000 sounds great, just enough bass so that I don't sound like a you know what coming down the street.

Yeah i believe it to be a great system, the head unit in the 460 and 1000 are so screwed up though.

So my options now are:
1) Beat the **** out of it til it spits out pieces of my CD's and leaves a smile on my face
2) Take the head unit out, and open it up not knowing if it'll work again but just do it so i can get my CD's out. (Bullet for my Valentine )
3) Just go buy an Alpine or Pioneer head unit w/ IPod connector and be really happy......just a little more poor lol
