Default 2003 GT Performance Springs

Anyone know of a reputable company that makes springs that will improve handling without lowering the ride height? Or at least keep it relatively close to stock? Any input on the subject would be appreciated. Thanks.

OEM Bullitt Suspension Kit:
http://www.stangmods.com/M5400A-Bull...ge-p/00621.htm
It'll lower it around an inch. Same set up that the 2001 has from the factory. ^ Thats what i would say if you want to keep it close to "stock". Otherwise im sure you'd be happy with a H&R Sport Spring. There gr8 im told.

Thanks for the link. It might not be a bad plan and seems to be a pretty good deal. I would love some H&R Sport springs, but I am worried about ground clearance.
There are a few big speed bumps around where I live and with the stock setup I have been known to scrape my exhaust if I go over the wrong section of one of them. Maybe I should get the H&R's and just move somewhere else. =)

idk if you've ever drove a 2001 bullit. Its an improvement over GT suspension and the lowering difference is about the same inch or around that less but you'll notice a difference and be happy. Now the H&R springs along with a set of shocks, lca's and camber plates would cost you only a tad bit more. The handling would be wayy better yet your looking at a 1.2-1.4 drop. Still not bad.

May i make a suggestion? If you wanna wait and not make a rash choice, heres something to do in the mean time which everyone would agree would be a solid part/s to add. Weld in a set of Full Length Sub Frame Connectors. Maxium Motorsports makes imo the best set. As well as maybe a MM or Steeda Strut Brace.

Not a bad suggestion. I am not in a huge rush, as long as I get it done by August I will be happy. The only problem I have with sub frame connectors is getting them installed. I can't seem to find a reputable shop out here in Western Mass and while there are a lot of things on this car I can do myself, welding is not one of them.

As for the strut brace, I have never driven a car that has one but I have heard it makes a huge difference. Will definitely be looking into one of those soon too. I was planning on upgrading the shocks/struts and springs first mostly because my suspension is getting kind of rough, and by rough I mean sloppy. So I figured I would upgrade those and move on from there. I just really don't think I have any more than an inch of clearance on the speed bumps outside. Maybe tomorrow I will go out and park my car over the biggest one and just use a ruler to find out exactly how much room there is.

Thanks for all your help, really makes coming to a new forum a pleasant experience. Let me know if anything else comes to mind.

well i'd PM one of the fellas who lives in MA about a good shop to use. Theres quite a few MF'ers who live in MA and who'd know the shop to use because FLSFC's should be done especially if your doing the suspension (at least at some point).

That's why i suggestion the bullitt kit if you only got and inch or less wiggle room then thats the best option. But go measure it.... or can you just not go over the speed bumps and find a different route?

Make sure if you doing suspension to do everything at once since it'lll save money in the long run. The two most important things would be the shocks & camber plates in addition to the springs. Then LCA's since your already taking out & replacing the springs. This will help eliminate wheel hop.

Make sure tho you leave the poly iso's in the car (replacing then with a newer set) otherwise this will also lower you car if you completely take em out.

In the mean time... how's your tire situation? Like are you in need of new tires or close to? I'd head over to the wheels and tire section. Jazzer is a great person to talk to also he's the one of the best suspension masters on here. He could help you out ALOT.

But i'd say for tires look at Nittos Invo or 555's.

You could look into Preformance Dyno or Pro Tree performance in NH. They are dyno shops but I also believe do part installs. I was going to have my car tuned there but decided to just save the money.

Of not those then look into a decent exhaust shop....it wouldnt be rocket science to put some FLSFC's on.

I had a few speed mountains that I use to have to go over... and my lowest point on the car is about 3" off the ground. Just take your time and angle well and you'll get over them.

I'm fortunate to have any auto tool I would need and a garage and a lift and a welder and a oxy torch etc etc lol.

But I wasn't referring to someone having access to a welder and a lift personally....but any exhaust shop would.....
