Default Upper/Lower control arms

Are you guys using Upper and Lower Control arms on your 1996-1998 mustangs without the quad shocks? And also do you have a lot of wheel hop?

I just have LCAs and SFCs and i took the quad shocks off i have no wheel hop.

You don't necessarily need to replace the UCA's to remove the quads, just the lowers are fine.... BUT....... The critical question here is WHICH LCA/UCA's to purchase, as many designs will be WORSE, yes.... I said worse than OEM stock in some ways!!!!!

It is very important to install ones with at least ONE spherical end on the LCA's. I recommend you leave the OEM UCA's, with only a couple exceptions. The first being if you are a DD that hits the 1/4 mile and do NOT hit the twisties hard. If you are really into the corners, leave the OEM UCA's or go for a PHB or WL and TA to address the outright garbage supposed "control" they maintain for your rear axle.

Read the Official Suspension Guide for MUCH better detail of why these items are VERY important to get right. DO NOT BUY boxed poly/poly control arms of any kind for your car, reguardless of what the manufacturer says.

Maximum Motorsports Extreme Duty lower control arms is where it at. If youre looking for drag racing only...get baseline.

Mondo.... the concern that I have is not of the particular "brand", but the design.

A spherical end is real important to help the proper articulation of the rear axle on a corner. teej has made a good recommendation in that MM ONLY sells a spherical LCA and are either heavy duty or extreme duty for those that have high HP and stickeys on the 1/4 mile.
