New Dyno Numbers

Finally got a good tune in her after alot of research and track time to get timing with the fastest trap times.

Old numbers: (moon performance in lake plaicd in October)
241.x rwhp 274.x rwtq

New numbers: (Albany speed shop 90 degree day)
253.x rwhp 292.x rwtq

The torque number is what i'm most impressed with! The only thing i changed from my old numbers to my current ones are underdrive pulleys and retuning the ecu. Not to mention the MAF hose was lose on the old numbers and making the AFR spike like crazy and me trying to correct for it frantically... I want to add a set of stage 2 mhs cams in there, but i think the tuning would be a bit*h since I just got it zoned in now on my sniper tuning software.

What do you guys think?

nice numbers!

Good gains man. I think you may be able to get to the 260 mark though. You do have a PI swap but none the less the numbers are better than before. Great gains man.

man... those are some really good numbers... nice TQ..

Good numbers with just PI heads/cams/intake

stangalator 07-19-2010 06:57 PM

thanks guys! the pi heads i swapped on are not completely stock, they were port matched and I polished the exhaust ports to a mirrior finish to get them flowing better. The dyno numbers from before and after are basically at the same peak points though. It still drops dead at 5500 rpm...

The bolt ons im missing are Catback, plenum and CIA but I think im going to wait on them and do those mhs stage 2 cams so I can get more horses up high. Of course I really need to work on suspension now that I have all this torque. Maybe some LCA, idk.

Lots of parts, not alot of money.

Good numbers! I run those same cams. Regardless of what the dyno says i can personally tell you these cams run strong all the way to 6200-6300 rpm. I think you'll like them.

I am going to be working with Pat at Sniper on tunes for these cams, that way its an easy plug and play for people that want to tweek it in before going to the dyno.

What gets changed exactly in the fuel/ timing tables for those cams. I can adjust AFR and timing now. What is the issue with special forces that makes it hard to tune for cams? It won't be dyno tuned since I tune at open track days using my traps (I figured i must be doing something right with 104-105 mph traps with pi cams)

When will you be doing this?
