Default FR500 WHAT?!

Went and picked up my new IRS catback last night in NY. 4 hours up and 4 hours back, but it was well worth it!!! Its an FRPP FR500 catback. And as most of you can probably see, there is an x crossover in the tailpipes, but that is not the only thing that makes this catback unique. The mufflers in the catback are known as dual mode mufflers. They have a pressurized valve inside the case that opens up whenever a high pressure exhaust pulse is present and pretty much lets the exhaust go through a straight pipe with baffling with as little back pressure as possible. There arent a whole lot of these catbacks out there and I fortunately was able to find one! This was the exhaust that I always wanted, besides the M55 catback. I cant wait to put this on the car! The IRS was put on hold because I didnt order the coilovers yet, but thats happening today and then im done spending money on the car this summer.

Mods for the summer:
1. Lightbar
2. IRS w/ full solid bushings
3. MM Sport valved shocks and struts
4. MM F/R CO's(375lb F/575lb R)
5. FR500 CB

There is possibly an o/r x in the near future depending on how quiet the new catback is but I might be undertaking the process of polishing the tailpipes this weekend if I have time, which now I seem to have a lot of. I will keep you all posted on the install of the IRS and the catback and will follow up with vids as soon as its on the car. I would post samples from online but there are like next to none on the interwebz and they all suck. So i'm taking a vid of the car with my point-and-shoot sony camera that shoots video in 1080p as soon as the catback goes on. I'm super pumped!

What's the point of the X after the mufflers? Also is this going to have 2 different exhaust tones? When the valve is closes vs open?

Looks quite spiffy. Keep us updated with the videos.

Idk if im gonna keep the exhaust tips because they are essentially stock exhaust tips. I think that I'm going to get some like 4" tips or some SLP tips or something. Idk yet. Gotta see what the catback looks like on the car.
