I suggest you do that...and not what your guy is telling you to do as it seems retarded that he is telling you to not make your setup as efficient and powerful as possible. Go with ported heads. Less boost to make the same amount of power and that means cooler temps and more power anyways.
+1 Nick knows his ****. And if your goin with lts biggers cams and ported heads you shouldnt have a problem getting to 500rwhp with upgrading the fuel system though.

Ok i'll call the shop in the morning and see what they can do

Personally I like to run a smaller duration cam advanced earlier than most others in a combo like this (actually most all street combos with the plastic PI intake) It makes more power up to 6500RPM I find which is where most people on the plastic intake want to shift at. Stage 2 is really just a name, some of them out there should be called Stage 3 or 4 with the specs they have.

Yeah I still have the plastic PI intake. And I don't plan on going much over 6500rpm. Right now my blower max is 62k which puts me really close to that at 6200rpm and i know i won't stay up there long and should be ok. When you say smaller duration how small are you talking about? And if you can get me a set of heads that you think would be good for me give me a price and i can send you my old ones as a core. Heads and Lts are what i'm going to do for sure now. Thanks everyone i'm pretty happy with where its going now and confident i'm gonna have some fun driving this beast when i'm done!

What about the clutch and rear end? Wouldn't they be the limiting factors?

My clutch can handle the torque and I'm running street tires so they are gonna break loose before my rearend does. Even if I put it on the strip I'm not running slicks and right now I run 8.2 in the 1/8th with wheel spin till I'm in third. But if I plan on hooking up then yeah the axles will need to get changed. I can't get any traction in first as it is so all my races on the street have been rolling starts. Which I'll need the suspension upgrades to make traction anyway. So all at a later point in time lol

I'd still do a built rear cus the last thing you wanna do is hook hard from a roll with all that power and snap something at 40mph...nah mean?
