Question different size stock wheels??

first time here, hope im doing this right. quick question. i want to put wider tires on back of my 04 gt when i drag at the track, but i want to keep the stock tire look so they match the front wheels, so i was wondering if you can get the stock wheels that are 17x9 in 17x10.5. or will i have to buy all new wheels to make them all match?? if anyone can help, a would sure appreciate it. thanks

might be right, 17x8. got the stock 04 gt basic wheels, 5 spoke silver paint. about the most basic wheels that came on the gts that year. can you measure the wheel from edge to edge to get width, or is it more about the mounting width, not the overall with?

17x8.5

the biggest tire you can really run on that rim is 275*

9er, he wants to buy a wheel in a 10-10.5 that matches his stock fronts.

i think ur only chance is taking them to a wheel widener. which i cant believe is cheap, but have no idea really. your probably best off buying new wheels for all four. and u can get some lighter ones if your trying to find everyway to be quicker on the track

jj.... your best bet is to pick up a set of 15"x10" wheels with a set of M/T's or DR's for the 1/4. You may have trouble matching them to your wheels, but if they are Bullitts, you may find something.

bop... Wheel widening is about $225 per wheel and would ONLY use Weldcraft Wheels to do them should anyone want to go this route. I have had 6 wheels done by them and are all great!

You can get some bullitts from AM (if you have those stock) in anthracite. They will more than likely be a slight shade off but not to bad.

thanks for all the help everyone, it was great. sounds like gotta go all new wheels. got a 04 gt with 8psi procharger, diablo chip, bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump, ford racing headers, slp offroad x-pipes, and magnaflow catback. live on island in alaska where we just started racing on an old runway, so we dont even have the lights yet, hope by next year. so we dont have a lot of access to wheel widening and stuff. have to send everything to seattle area and it can get expensive just for the shipping. but i cant get enough traction with 245/45-17 nitto nt-01's. so i wanted to spend extra money on tuning and new gears, not wheels, but guess im outta luck. im all for speed and quickness, and put the extra looks in the trunk. once again. thanks for all the help.
