Default 4.10 gears with FI

I finally have enough $$$$ for a supercharger/cheap turbo kit. I have 4.10 s and love them but was wondering if i might struggle to get any traction.

Who here has or had 4.10 s on there supercharged mustang.

I only get to drive my mustang a couple of times a month and I want as much acceleration and enjoyment as possible on those rare chances i get to drive it.

Any thoughts? would new control arms help any?

control arms will help along with some sticky tires and good springs. the 4.10s will be fine with the s/c, turbo might be more of a struggle but managable. learn to use throttle control and you will be able to use your 4.10s to your advantage

I had 4.10's with my setup, but the problem that I had with them was when I was at the track. I had to shift to 5th gear with them. I dont know if you've ever tried to shift into 5th hard, but its not so easy. I went down to 3.73's and it helped a lot. My 60ft times when from mid 1.8's to high 1.6's. Doesn't sound like a lot, but thats a HUGE difference. I'll also say it took me a while to like the 3.73's, as they def dont have the *** behind them like 4.10's.

I had 4.10's and 700rwhp/573rwtq and was able to pick the tires up on the street with drag radials. I did have alot of work in my suspension and had it tuned perfectly so I never got wheel spin.

I have 4.10 with my vortech blower setup 370 rwhp stock controls no problem, with 410 rwhp no problem but had lower control arms you will be good to go especially if you have stickies but not required for the street unless you got a KB then I recommend 3.73s.

As mentioned before if you track it you will need a tall tire with 4.10s otherwise at 370 rwhp you will hit rev limiter at 111 mph with 4.10s.

My local tracks are only 1/8 mile. What tires would you call stickies? My tires are 315 wide but only cheap sumitomos.

Would a 6psi kenne bell have too much low rpm torque for the 4.10s?
